Buggy and Lancaster FarmlandHistory

Archery Construction's work ethic is rooted in over 200 years of Lancaster County farming heritage. Hard work, diligence, and traditional farming values have sustained the Amish community here for generations. These qualities have made Lancaster County, Pennsylvania famous for beautiful farmland and economic vitality.

Like most young Amish men, Benuel Stoltzfus was raised on the family farm. Practical, durable horse barns and other structures were a necessary part of daily life.

In recent years, limited availablity of farmland has resulted in the formation of other businesses in the Amish community. These businesses often focus on the building trades, where the values of craftsmanship, enduring quality, and hard work are a substantial advantage.

Amish Barn RaisingIn 2005, after several years working in the building trades, Benuel started Archery Construction to build horse barns, riding arenas and other pole buildings.

The Amish community is known for building barns. Whether replacing a structure destroyed by fire, or constructing a new one from scratch, an Amish "barn-raising" is an inspiring sight.

When the Archery Construction crew comes to build your structure, it probably won't look like an Amish barn-raising. But they will bring their traditional values and work ethic to your your project: quality craftsmanship, teamwork, and enduring beauty.
